A lot can happen in 35 days.

Said by a dear friend, these words couldn’t be more true.

With so few days left of my journey at Bryn Mawr, I try to savor each moment and recognize that much of what I’m doing falls under the category “for the last time.” Joining the faithful breakfast club each morning, trekking to the science building, running my last experiments in lab, leading Sunday meditation…But a lot can happen in the last few weeks. Memories that I’ll always carry with me as I take my first steps into the unknown of my journey into the cultures of mindfulness and healing.

For one year, I will travel around the world to learn about how contemplative practices, mind-body techniques, prayer, and rituals can promote spiritual, physical, and psychological healing for individuals, communities, and the natural environment. This blog will be my link to the familiar world I leave behind as I enter the realm that belongs to the cultures of healing. I invite you to follow me on my journey to Germany, India, Bhutan, Thailand, Japan, and Peru.
